Iron City Leah

Leah had a great weekend in Pittsburgh for Handmade Arcade! The show was a big success and Leah made new friends.

"Caitlin Phillips of Rebound Designs makes amazing purses and wallets out of old books.  The design and craftsmanship is uncanny.

I also met the wonderful Sarah from Pittsburgh based SEC knits fabricates silkscreen inspired knitwear! Their work features high contrast images that are graphed into knit fabric alongside classic patterns like houndstooth and argyle to make unique bandanas and scarves.

Each piece is designed and hand knit on a standard gauge knitting machine in 100% cotton -- great, lightweight fabric for spring and fall! http://www.etsy.com/shop/tinymammothknits  I fell in love with her designs and they were executed so well.

We also met a woman named Jovan who owns 720 Records She wants a wholesale order.  Leah Creation will yet again be in another city!!!!

Leah had fun exploring the city with Jonelle, an Art Institute of Pittsburgh graduate.  They found some AMAZING records we need to tell you about (hint: think purple), but first Leah wants to thank her #1 lady:

"I couldn't have done it without Jonelle Greene of GreeneHouse Studios.

Every artist needs a Jonelle, She finds and books the shows, does all of the promotional graphic work, sets up my amazing displays, keeps me organized and is amazing with the customers.

She is currently accepting new clients so she can do what she has done for me and gains exposure for the artists and their work. http://www.facebook.com/#!/GreeneHouseStudios or email her at jonal814@gmail.com!

Leah of course had some special video requests for this 4/20:

"This day always brings back scattered memories of old friends and my Kutztown Days!

Relive those memories (if you still can!) with these hits...we'll start off with Snoop Dog since Leah just scored a great find from him:

"It even has his face and bling on it! There was two in the sleeve double score...Whatever I make it will be hott!
