Crafty Leah

Leah spent a sunny Saturday at Crafty Balboa April Showers, the second annual art and craft fair at Passyunk Fountain in South Philly.

There were no showers this time, but Leah would have liked warmer temps:

"Set up was a bear, it was so cold and windy! We pulled through thanks to Jonelle and her amazing display set up skills!!!!

We were lucky to have Amber Anne as a vending neighbor! Check out her new summer dresses made from vintage fabrics not one is alike! The girl has such an eye for design.

A special shout out to all of my Ray's Happy Birthday Bar friends especially Gail, Lou and Tim Allen. And as always I met so many awesome people...I had a great response and had so many visitors, I felt so loved!"

Another successful show for Leah Creation!  Look for us at Tru Blu Tatu this Friday in Bristol, and Prospect Park Craft Fair this Saturday in Brooklyn...and don't forget Lingfest June 4th!

The trip will include some much needed relaxation...until then, we'll catch up on some of Leah's video request from last week with some Rolling Stones:

Fab Friday

Don't forget Crafty Balboa April Showers, the South Philly craft show taking place tomorrow at Passyunk Fountain (at Tasker and Passyunk).  Right now there are no showers forecasted, just sun and warm temps.  Leah will be there!

Here's some fab for you:

Gorgeous work, Leah!  We snapped this pic at Unearthed a few weeks ago.  This is what Leah sells at her shows, so come on out to Crafty Balboa or any of this spring's art and craft events.

Now some video requests from Leah, who asked for some Pretenders earlier in the week.  Enjoy, and have a great weekend everyone!

A Little Sunshine

It's been a rainy spring so far, hasn't it?

Leah was, unfortunately, a no-show at last week's at Shadfest due to the weather.  A shame, since the sun did make an appearance later.  Sorry to anyone who might have been looking for us!

Try us again at Crafty Balboa, this Saturday at the Passyunk fountain at Tasker and Passyunk in South Philly.  The forecast is calling for sun and warm temps, so no excuses this time!

And here's some more sunshine for you, in the form of another recent find of Leah's:

Leah is always accepting custom orders, if you'd like a piece of KC and the Sunshine Band!  It could be the next fashion accessory of your choice...check out these great shapes:

And of course, your video for the day:

Iron City Leah

Leah had a great weekend in Pittsburgh for Handmade Arcade! The show was a big success and Leah made new friends.

"Caitlin Phillips of Rebound Designs makes amazing purses and wallets out of old books.  The design and craftsmanship is uncanny.

I also met the wonderful Sarah from Pittsburgh based SEC knits fabricates silkscreen inspired knitwear! Their work features high contrast images that are graphed into knit fabric alongside classic patterns like houndstooth and argyle to make unique bandanas and scarves.

Each piece is designed and hand knit on a standard gauge knitting machine in 100% cotton -- great, lightweight fabric for spring and fall! http://www.etsy.com/shop/tinymammothknits  I fell in love with her designs and they were executed so well.

We also met a woman named Jovan who owns 720 Records She wants a wholesale order.  Leah Creation will yet again be in another city!!!!

Leah had fun exploring the city with Jonelle, an Art Institute of Pittsburgh graduate.  They found some AMAZING records we need to tell you about (hint: think purple), but first Leah wants to thank her #1 lady:

"I couldn't have done it without Jonelle Greene of GreeneHouse Studios.

Every artist needs a Jonelle, She finds and books the shows, does all of the promotional graphic work, sets up my amazing displays, keeps me organized and is amazing with the customers.

She is currently accepting new clients so she can do what she has done for me and gains exposure for the artists and their work. http://www.facebook.com/#!/GreeneHouseStudios or email her at jonal814@gmail.com!

Leah of course had some special video requests for this 4/20:

"This day always brings back scattered memories of old friends and my Kutztown Days!

Relive those memories (if you still can!) with these hits...we'll start off with Snoop Dog since Leah just scored a great find from him:

"It even has his face and bling on it! There was two in the sleeve double score...Whatever I make it will be hott!
